EOTECH ClipIR-LR MK2 1280 Thermal Clip-On

The EOTECH® MK2 ClipIR-LR is a long-range thermal clip-on weapon sight designed to convert a standard daytime optic into a high-performance thermal system without affecting zero. Mounted forward of the day scope, the ClipIR-LR allows the user to retain their existing optic, reticle, and ballistic solution while adding advanced thermal imaging capability.

Designed for use with mid-magnification day optics (typically up to 4–10×), the ClipIR-LR provides strong detection, observation, and engagement capability in all lighting conditions. Unlike image intensifier-based systems, thermal technology allows the user to detect heat signatures regardless of ambient light, providing a significant advantage in complete darkness, obscured environments, and challenging weather conditions.

The system features a high-performance 1280 × 1024 thermal sensor with a 12 µm pixel pitch, delivering detailed imagery and strong target definition. Advanced image processing algorithms enhance clarity and contrast, allowing users to quickly identify targets at extended distances.

The ClipIR-LR mounts quickly and securely to standard Picatinny (1913) rails and maintains the host optic’s ballistic zero, eliminating the need for re-zero when transitioning between day and thermal use.

Power is supplied by three AA batteries, providing reliable runtime with a widely available power source. The system also includes onboard image and video recording, along with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity for expanded functionality and device integration.
