The EOTECH EXPS and XPS Series Holographic Weapon Sights represent the core of the EOTECH lineup, offering a compact, lightweight design with unmatched speed and precision in a true holographic optic platform. These optics are built around EOTECH’s proven holographic technology, allowing for extremely fast target acquisition while maintaining precision at distance.

Unlike traditional red dot optics, the EOTECH HWS projects a laser-driven reticle that allows the shooter to remain target-focused, rather than shifting focus between the reticle and target. This results in faster, more intuitive shooting, especially in dynamic environments.

The signature 68 MOA ring with 1 MOA center dot provides rapid target acquisition at close range while maintaining fine precision for longer shots. Reticle options are available, including single dot, multi-dot, and ballistic-specific configurations depending on the selected model.

EOTECH holographic technology allows the reticle to remain crisp even under magnification, maintaining a true 1 MOA aiming point when used with 3x or 5x magnifiers.  Additionally, the system continues to function even if the viewing window becomes partially obstructed, a key advantage over traditional red dot optics.  The large rectangular viewing window allows for enhanced peripheral awareness and true two-eyes-open shooting, increasing speed and situational awareness in real-world use.

All EXPS and XPS models utilize a single CR123 battery, providing a compact power solution with reliable runtime and consistent performance.

EXPS vs XPS Configuration

The EXPS and XPS series share the same core optical performance but differ in mounting height, control layout, and interface design.

EXPS Series

The EXPS models feature a raised base with a quick-detach lever and side-mounted controls. This configuration provides a lower 1/3 co-witness and allows easier operation when paired with magnifiers. These models are commonly preferred for modern rifle setups.

XPS Series

The XPS models offer a more compact footprint with a fixed mount and rear-mounted controls. These provide an absolute co-witness height and are ideal for users looking to minimize rail space and overall system size.

Night Vision Compatibility

Night vision compatible models include dedicated NV brightness settings, allowing seamless integration with helmet-mounted night vision systems.
