The IR-X Rechargeable Power Kit for the Trijicon® REAP-IR is a purpose-built solution designed to eliminate the limitations of disposable CR123 batteries while maintaining a clean, self-contained system with no external wiring.
The IR-X battery housing is precision machined from aircraft-grade aluminum to exacting tolerances, providing a secure, factory-style fit. It incorporates a channel designed to utilize the factory gasket, maintaining the original waterproof integrity of the optic. This design ensures durability and reliability while preserving the rugged performance expected from the REAP-IR platform.
By converting the system to rechargeable lithium-ion power, the IR-X significantly improves runtime and reduces the ongoing cost and inconvenience of disposable batteries. When paired with high-quality cells, the system will typically deliver approximately 4–6 hours of runtime in 60Hz operation, depending on environmental conditions and usage.
The included charger and batteries are carefully selected to provide stable, consistent power output—critical for thermal optics that rely on clean voltage for optimal image performance.
Please Note: This kit is only compatible with first-generation REAP-IR (IRMS-35), IR-Patrol (19mm models only), and SNIPE-IR thermal optics. It is not compatible with Gen 2 or Gen 3 REAP-IR units.
