Low Light Innovations MH-14 (Elbit Thin-Film)
PLEASE INQUIRE FOR STOCK STATUS BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER
The Low Light Industries MH-14 is an ultra-rugged, all-metal, modular night vision monocular which offers ultimate versatility. The MH-14 is designed to work with the LLI MH Ecosystem which allows users to combine two MH-14’s to create a complete articulating binocular system.
The LLI MH-14 is comprised of a simple, minimalist design. A standard, “PVS-14 style” rotary knob controls power on / off, gain control, and IR illumination. This unit also features a dual IR illuminator which features a short range, low-power mode as well as a high-power mode for longer range illumination. The MH-14 is compatible with standard Mil-Spec PVS-14 J-Arms, as well as other versatile mounting options.
Housing and Optics Information
The LLI MH-14 is built using an ultra-rugged, yet ultra-lightweight Magnesium Alloy and T6 7075 Aluminum housing which exceeds MIL-STD-810G and IP-68 ingress specifications. While the MH-14 is designed with durability in mind, it remains very lightweight at an impressive 8.6 ounces. Power is supplied by a single AA battery, which provides up to 50+ hours of continuous use. The MH-14 is available in Matte Black and Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finishes.
High-quality Mil-Spec objective lens and eyepiece optics are used standard and provide excellent image quality and light transmission.
Rochester Precision Optics (RPO) ultralight objective lenses and eyepieces are available as an upgraded option. RPO optics are approximately 20% lighter weight than standard Mil-Spec optics without any sacrifice of image quality.
Photonis Defense Boomslang 50° wide-angle field of view (FOV) lenses increase the user’s viewable area by 25% compared to standard Mil-Spec optics. Boomslangs stand apart from previous wide-FOV lenses in that no visible “fisheye” distortion is present while having only minor chromatic aberration at the very edge of the lenses. In addition to increased situational awareness from the wider FOV, Boomslang optics offer a weight reduction of 25-30 grams per eye compared to standard optics.
ACT in Black 50° wide-angle field of view (FOV) lenses increase the user’s viewable area by 35% compared to standard Mil-Spec optics. There is little to no “fisheye” distortion present while having only minor chromatic aberration at the very edge of the field of view. In addition to increased situational awareness from the wider FOV, ACT in Black wide-angle lenses adds only a small increase in weight of approximately 20 grams per lens versus standard mil-spec optics.
All units are professionally assembled, nitrogen-purged, and thoroughly tested.
Image Intensifier Tube Information
This LLI MH-14 is available with the following Image Intensifier Tube options:
- Elbit Systems USA Thin-Film White Phosphor, 2000-2300 FOM, "Grade A"
All units are built using high-quality, meticulously-selected, brand-new image intensifier tubes. All image intensifiers we use are “Grade-A”, meaning they have the most stringent spot (blemish) tolerances.
Elbit thin-film tubes perform well in most conditions with minimal ambient light. These tubes are an excellent value, produce a great image, and are more affordable than L-3 tubes. They work exceptionally well in urban environments with some ambient light.
Warranty Information
The Low Light Industries MH-14 is built to extremely rugged specifications and designed to last a long time under harsh professional use. These units carry a lifetime “no-questions-asked” housing warranty and a five-year overall system warranty, so buy with confidence that you will be enjoying this unit for years to come.
