The Wilcox G24 Lite low profile dovetail breakaway mount provides the same strength and durability of the legacy G24 mount but with a 12% savings in weight. 

The breakaway feature of the G24 Lite can be turned on and off using the built-in switch.  When enabled, the mount will break away from the base when under a stress load, potentially saving the user from neck injury.  The travel and adjustment distances of the legacy G24 and G24 Lite are the same.
