RIX LEAP L6 640 50mm Thermal Scope

The RIX LEAP series of thermal weapon sights are well-built and budget friendly, but packed with tons of features.  The key feature that sets the LEAP series apart from other thermal optics is the unique zoom adjustment which allows the display itself to be magnified using a simple rotating, tactile ring on the scope body.  Unlike digital zoom found in most thermal optics, the RIX LEAP retains more clarity as adjustments are made, and delivers a life-like magnification effect.

The LEAP series accomplishes this using a series of floating lenses, and by adjusting them the focal length of the eyepiece is changed optically.  This means the user can quickly and easily adjust the magnification of the eyepiece to adapt to hunting conditions.  The zoom ring also includes a built-in throw lever to make adjustments easier with gloves or in the dark. 

The LEAP series features a high resolution, high contrast 1920x1080 OLED display for optimal image quality.  This display, combined with a 384 x 216 or 640 x 360, 12 µm, <25 NETD mK, VOx uncooled thermal detector delivers excellent image quality.

Operating the scope is extremely easy due to the simple control layout.  Three rotating turrets, two large buttons, and simple menu structure make navigation easy.  A large, tactile focus ring is located on the front of the objective to fine tune the image.

The RIX LEAP series is powered by non-proprietary lithium-ion 18650 batteries for long operating times.  A single 18650 will power the scope for up to eight hours. 

Other notable features include onboard recording with sound, Wi-Fi, IP67 water ingress protection, external power compatibility, recoil activated video, picture-in-picture, a variety of reticle options, and iOS and Android mobile apps.  A durable, all-metal 30mm housing makes mounting simple, regardless of the weapon platform.
