The RIX STORM S6R is an ultra-compact, dual-purpose thermal riflescope and handheld scanner designed for mobility and performance. Weighing in at just one pound, the S6R is easy to operate for extended periods and includes a quick-detach Picatinny mount for rapid weapon installation.

At the heart of the S6R is a next-generation 640×512, 12μm VOx uncooled thermal sensor with NETD <20 mK, paired with a fast 35mm F/1.0 Germanium objective lens. This combination delivers high-contrast imaging with exceptional detail, even in high humidity or low-contrast environments. This unit features a 2.0× base magnification with up to 8.0× digital zoom and a wide 12.5° field of view.

The compact, integrated laser rangefinder measures distances out to 1,300 yards with ±1 yard accuracy and includes a ballistic calculator for improved long-range precision. The adjustable Picture-in-Picture (PIP) function allows independent magnification control for the inset image, enabling the shooter to maintain full situational awareness.

The intuitive operating system uses an enlarged, four-directional control layout for easy identification of each button, even with gloves. Each control is mapped to the user interface, lighting up the corresponding function on-screen. Power is supplied by a replaceable 18650 battery with an innovative 90° quick-detach cap for fast swaps. Onboard 32GB memory allows for photo and video capture, with wireless streaming available via the built-in Wi-Fi module.
