Born and raised on a family farm in south-central Iowa, I grew up hunting and fishing from a young age. The outdoors has always been a big part of my life, with a strong passion for bowhunting whitetail deer and pursuing coyotes. Some of my favorite rifles for predator hunting have long been the tried-and-true .22-250 and 6mm.

Over the years, I’ve hunted coyotes by just about every method possible, from running hounds to calling. In the last five years, I’ve shifted my focus primarily to nighttime predator hunting, developing a strong interest in thermal optics and the advantages they bring to the hunt. Calling coyotes at night has become a true passion, and I spend as much time as possible in the field year-round.

My wife, Marsha, and I make several trips to Texas each year to visit friends and spend time hunting hogs and coyotes. When I’m not hunting, you can usually find me racing hare scrambles on my dirt bike at events across the Midwest.

Being part of the Night Vision Outfitters team allows me to share my real-world hunting experience and help others find the right equipment for their own nighttime hunting needs.
