The INFITAC OWS-32 Optical Waveguide Sight introduces a fundamentally different approach to electronic weapon sights. It isn’t a conventional red dot and it isn’t a holographic sight. Instead, the OWS-32 uses advanced optical waveguide technology to deliver the aiming reticle through a flat, highly transparent viewing window for a wide-open sight picture, crisp reticle, and minimal visual obstruction.

The OWS-32 features a large 1.26 × 1.0-inch viewing window with unlimited eye relief and a parallax-free design. Seven selectable reticle configurations combine a 2.5 MOA dot, 65 MOA circle, and crosshair, while 20 daylight and 10 night vision brightness settings provide extensive adjustment for changing conditions. Automatic brightness control and INFITAC’s InstaWake motion activation further simplify operation.

Built from AL7075-T6 aluminum, the OWS-32 weighs just 9.9 ounces, is IP67 rated, and is tested to withstand up to 1200G of recoil. A single CR123A battery provides up to 1,500 hours of operation, while the included quick-detach lower 1/3 co-witness mount provides compatibility with MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny and STANAG 2324 rails.

What Makes an Optical Waveguide Sight Different?

A traditional red dot reflects an LED off a coated lens to create its aiming point, while a holographic sight uses a laser and holographic grating to reconstruct the reticle. The OWS-32 takes a different approach, directing the aiming image through a flat optical waveguide using controlled internal reflections before delivering it to the shooter’s eye.

The result is a bright, natural sight picture with excellent color fidelity, minimal lens tint, and virtually no forward light signature. The waveguide design also produces a clean, well-defined reticle that can be especially beneficial for shooters who experience blooming, smearing, or starburst effects with traditional red dots due to astigmatism.
