The iRayUSA PICTAIL 2 is an updated dual-interface mounting solution designed for the iRay RICO MICRO series of thermal optics. It combines a standard dovetail shoe, commonly used for helmet-mounted night vision devices, with a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny interface for weapon mounting.

The PICTAIL 2 has been redesigned to improve compatibility with modern helmet and weapon mounting systems while maintaining full backward compatibility with standard dovetail interfaces used by Wilcox, Noisefighters, KVC, and other manufacturers. 

This hybrid mounting system allows seamless transition between helmet-mounted and weapon-mounted configurations without changing mounting hardware. When paired with the iRayUSA / American Defense MQD (AC36) or Flip-to-Side (AC55), the PICTAIL 2 utilizes a Picatinny interface to secure, repeatable mounting solution for both standalone and clip-on weapon mounting applications.

Constructed from precision-machined aluminum with a durable hardcoat anodized finish, the PICTAIL 2 maintains a lightweight, low-profile footprint while delivering the strength required for demanding use.  Additionally, the PICTAIL 2 is available in both tan and matte black finishes

The PICTAIL 2 is backed by the iRayUSA “5 x 5” warranty which provides five year transferable warranty coverage along with a five day turnaround guarantee if service is ever required.
