The RIX Leap L6R is the premium long-range version of the Leap series, engineered for superior performance under challenging conditions.  Equipped with a high-resolution 640 × 480 sensor and < 20 mK NETD sensitivity, paired with a 50mm F/1.0 objective lens, the Leap L6R provides crisp thermal detail and extended detection capability.  The optical system delivers continuous magnification from 2.8× to 8.4×, and the 1920 × 1080 OLED display ensures sharp, high-contrast imaging across the range.

As with all Leap R models, the L6R is powered by a standard 18650 rechargeable battery, offering up to 7 hours of continuous operation under normal conditions.  External USB-C power is also accepted for extended runtime in the field.

A standout feature of the L6R is its integrated in-lens laser rangefinder (LRF) capable of measuring distances to 1,312 yards.  That works in conjunction with the onboard ballistic calculator to deliver instant holdover data and firing solutions for precision shooting at longer ranges.

Built for rugged conditions, the Leap L6R features an IP67-rated rugged housing, protection against dust and water, and is engineered to endure heavy recoil up to 1000 g.  Large control knobs and buttons allow for intuitive adjustments even with gloves, and the “Return to Center” (RTC) function recenters the reticle after zeroing for consistent aiming alignment.  A redesigned eyepiece expands the exit pupil and increases the forgiving eye box by approximately 30%, improving alignment speed and reducing distortion.

Advanced capabilities include true continuous optical zoom without image pixelation, enhanced RET (Real Enhanced Technology) to preserve clarity during digital zoom, recoil-activated video recording, onboard photo/video capture (with audio), WiFi connectivity via the RIX+ app, multiple reticle styles and color palettes, Picture-in-Picture mode, electronic zeroing with preset profile support, and generous 32 GB of built-in memory for media storage.
