The RIX LPR L6R Thermal Scope with LRF introduces a new generation of thermal imaging technology, combining continuous optical zoom, advanced thermal sensitivity, an integrated laser rangefinder, and onboard ballistic calculation in a lightweight magnesium alloy housing. Building on the proven LEAP platform, the LPR L6R delivers improved image quality, enhanced ranging capabilities, and refined controls in a traditional riflescope design.

At its core is a 640×512 thermal sensor with a 12 µm pixel pitch, <12 mK NETD thermal sensitivity, and a 50 Hz refresh rate. Paired with a 50 mm F/0.9 objective lens, the LPR L6R produces exceptional thermal detail and target definition, even in challenging weather conditions. The high-sensitivity detector captures subtle temperature differences, improving image contrast and clarity when viewing targets against complex backgrounds.

One of the LPR L6R’s defining features is its continuous 3×–9× optical zoom system. Unlike conventional thermal scopes that rely primarily on digital magnification, the LPR allows users to increase optical magnification while maintaining the sensor’s native resolution. Additional digital zoom of up to 4× provides further flexibility, while the integrated magnification controls near the eyepiece allow convenient one-handed adjustments. The scalable user interface automatically accommodates different magnification settings for improved menu visibility and operation.

The LPR L6R features an expansive 1.03-inch AMOLED display with an impressive 2560×2560 resolution. This high-resolution display provides outstanding image detail and a comfortable viewing experience across the scope’s magnification range.

An integrated laser rangefinder measures distances up to 2,187 yards and introduces an adjustable ranging point that can be precisely aligned with the reticle. This allows the user to adjust their LRF aiming point as required to ensure maximum accuracy. The onboard ballistic calculator works with integrated environmental sensors that measure temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure to provide calculated aiming corrections based on shooting conditions to further maximize accurate shot placement.  Additionally, a visible green aiming laser further provides situational awareness during LRF zeroing or to mark a downed target.

Designed for convenient operation, the LPR L6R features oversized control knobs, glove-friendly buttons, and an improved objective focus lever. Additional capabilities include Picture-in-Picture, Recoil Activated Video, Recoil to Zoom, multiple reticle configurations, five zeroing profiles, and integrated photo and video recording. Built-in Wi-Fi provides connectivity to the RIX+ mobile application for wireless image streaming, device configuration, and firmware updates.

The magnesium alloy housing reduces overall weight by approximately 30% compared to the previous LEAP series while maintaining durability. The scope features a standard 30 mm mounting tube, IP67 environmental protection, and recoil resistance up to 1,000 g. Power is supplied by a removable 21700 rechargeable battery, with compatibility for 18650 batteries using the included adapter sleeve. A Picatinny mounting system and two rechargeable 21700 batteries are included.
